Dress Me Daisy

Dressmedaisy is a collaborative project between Wax Media and the dmd founders, Danika Hire and Lisa Jordon. The site combines a fashion web-zine with a first-of-its-kind online personal shopping service.

The key challenge with dressmedaisy was sourcing and manipulating product data. The site content is centered around the products of a wide range of UK women's fashion retailers, including the likes of Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Wallis and so on. Our solution was to make use of XML product data feeds from leading Affiliate Marketing networks and provide custom .NET back-end tools that enable site administrators to assign products to editorial features or personal shopping requests.

Dressmedaisy launched in early 2010 and has had a highly successful first year with extensive press coverage and a growing user-base. A number of developments to the site are planned for 2011 as the business model evolves.
