We are, first and foremost, a web agency. That means we primarily work in the design, development, hosting and maintenance of websites and custom web applications.

Website design and development:
We don't take a one-size-fits-all approach to web design at Wax Media. Every business has specific requirements and our goal is to combine design, functionality, usability and search engine optimisation in a cost effective manner. The vast majority of our sites feature our custom Content Management System and range from simple brochure sites to functionality-rich commercial platforms.

Our in-house developed custom shopping cart and product admin systems enable us to provide powerful, functionality-rich e-commerce websites without relying on off-the-shelf or open source applications. As with everything we do, our systems are highly scalable and configured for the specific needs of each individual client. Payment processing can be facilitated using a fully-integrated secure checkout or an external gateway such as PayPal or Google Checkout.

Our custom content management system (CMS) is a lightweight .NET framework designed to provide simple and intuitive tools for the management of all types of site content. Effectively a modular system, our CMS can scale from a simple site text editor to an enterprise-standard platform capable of handling dynamic content, documents, images, scripts and multiple language and character sets. The key focus has always been on ease-of-use and to this end we provide a CMS interface which reflects the front-end design of a given website.
