From content complexity to creative control.
Cambridge University Press approached us with a challenge: build a scalable nurture journeys for Cambridge Advance Online, their programme of online short courses from the University of Cambridge.
Each journey involved around 10 emails supporting more than 20 different courses, making production at scale a significant challenge. Managing versioning, content relevance and brand consistency across that volume required more than just good creative - it needed robust systems.
We developed a bespoke email design system for Cambridge Advance Online, establishing a set of creative standards for the channel and a library of 60 reusable modules and components. These were configured within our mailCMS platform - an advanced content management system for email marketing that dovetails seamlessly with their Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance - to allow fast, flexible campaign creation.
With this setup, the team can now produce, edit, and manage complex, highly personalised automations in-house, without compromising on the high editorial and design standards associated with the Cambridge name.
